Road projects: Gombe votes N381m compensation for 309 households

Gombe State Government has indicated interest to pay N381million as compensation to no fewer than 309 beneficiaries.

The 300 households are those affected by the proposed road construction tagged Network Eleven which is part of the legacy construction works of the current administration – 11 km road construction across the 11 local government areas of the state.

Governor Muhammadu Yahaya disclosed this on Sunday in Gombe hinterland, revealing that the payment of compensation to beneficiaries was aimed at showing government commitment to carry everyone alone.

He said, “The road network include; Kagarawal, Mallam inna, and Anguwan uku and over 300 households are affected.

“I assure you of restoring solar lights within the streets after completion of the project.”

Yahaya noted that the road construction would commence upon the completion of the payment of compensation to every individual whose property was affected by the infrastructural development.     ,,
